01 / OverviewAviation Auditor

The Aviation Auditor course is designed for those directly involved in running an internal audit programme in a small to medium-sized organisation. It teaches the practical skills of this important area with the aim of getting you into the field and working. It assumes no prior formal training.

In an aviation SMS, auditing is one of the most proactive and effective tools for identifying risk. Internal auditing is the main activity providing assurance that operational activities meet the expectations of senior persons.

The course takes a modern approach and explains how auditing has evolved from a compliance and quality activity to a risk-based approach: how to develop and manage a risk-based audit programme, how to prepare for and conduct an audit, and how to effectively identify and communicate findings.
