This Introduction to SMS course delivers the essential concepts in understanding SMS for all staff in an organisation. It discusses the need for SMS to be embedded into the culture of an organisation and provides the level of knowledge needed to meet this requirement.
On completion, all staff will be able to explain what an SMS is, list its key components and benefits, describe how an SMS works, explain the systems approach to safety management, and explain how SMS differs from the traditional approach.
