Building on the Level 2 certificate, this qualification develops competent operators who take responsibility for their own work in roles such as filleter, processor or packer. Learners complete the strand (or strands) that fit their job.

Seafood processing staff working under limited supervision who want a recognised Level 3 qualification across one or more strands.
Workplace-based and competency-based, assessed on-job by SIS against NZQA unit standards while learners remain employed.
As an NZQA-accredited provider, SIS can deliver unit standards across NZQA domains including:
Builds on Level 2 [Ref 2218] and leads to the Level 4 certificate [Ref 3131]. It can also form part of the Seafood Processing apprenticeship.
SIS Training has worked alongside New Zealand seafood companies since 2000. We are an NZQA Category One provider delivering Primary ITO / NZQA-approved training, with assessment carried out on-job so learning translates directly to the processing floor.
