This complex apprenticeship combines the Level 3 and Level 4 seafood processing qualifications (Ref 3130 and 3131) into a single supported pathway. Apprentices learn on-job while they earn, progressing from competent operator to supervisor.
It is designed for employees committed to a career in seafood processing, and for employers who want to grow and retain skilled staff.

Work-based. Apprentices remain employed and are assessed on-job by SIS as they progress through the Level 3 and Level 4 qualifications.

On completion, apprentices hold both the Level 3 and Level 4 certificates and can progress toward Level 5 seafood advanced operations.
SIS Training has worked alongside New Zealand seafood companies since 2000. We are an NZQA Category One provider delivering Primary ITO / NZQA-approved training, with assessment carried out on-job so learning translates directly to the processing floor.
